The Lewers Lounge is a sexy, dim lit jazz and cocktail lounge located in the elegant Halekulani Hotel. The beverage program here was headed by the “King of the Cocktail” himself, Dale Degroff, whom often makes Aloha State appearances to host spirited events and train the talented in-house staff. The Lewers Lounge is an ideal spot to celebrate special occasions as well as spend the holidays and bar Manager, Tim Rita has created a bevy of festive sips for this season. The Upcountry Eggnog is made with Okolehau liqueur from Maui, Calvados, house-made cinnamon infused simple syrup, and heavy whipping cream garnished with nutmeg and a slice of candied apple. The Velvet Spice combines Bacardi 8, crème de cacao white, rotui pineapple juice, house-made Hawaiian Chili simple syrup, sage and fresh raspberries. And, the Easy As Pie combines Tequila Reposado, Grand Manier, fresh lime, house-made Kabotcha pumpkin puree and egg white. This holiday sweet treat is then topped off with Ginger beer and garnished with grated nutmeg and a cinnamon stick. Merry sippin’.

Both Apartment 3’s cuisine and cocktail menu tastefully diversify with the seasons. The ultra cool hot spot is tri-fold; a restaurant, lounge and club venue. Apartment 3 sources locally grown fruits and herbs whenever possible and always incorporates fresh squeezed juices from Hawaii-based juice company, Govinda. At Apartment 3, expect the gamut of libations to range from simple to refreshing to complex and intriguing. Ring in the holidays with their Seasonal Sip that changes up daily. Or, try the berry laden A Rose by Any Other Name, a concoction made of raspberries muddled with organic agave and citrus, Plymouth Gin and rosemary. Brasserie Du Vin

Although most well-known as a wine bar, Brasserie Du Vin annually churns out a cheery holiday cocktail list including cocktails like the Poinsettia, a flute of champagne that’s spiked with cranberry served with a twist of lime. The Chocolate Candy Cane Martini is made of Rumple Minze and Bailey’s served up with a crushed up candy cane rim. And, Pear-y Christmas is a packed with pear martini. To round the spirited list off, the Du Vin Eggnog blends the traditional creamy recipe with spiced rum and Kahlua.

Pearl Ultra Lounge

Pearl Ultra Lounge is located in Ala Moana Shopping Center and is an ideal place for party planning. Whether it be gathering an intimate group of friends or reserving the VIP section for a full-out fete, Pearl is a real hot spot for holiday fun. The cocktail menu here is chock full of festive-friendly libations including the Pamaberry, a delicate balance of Pama Pomegranate liquor with Stoli Blueberry Vodka, a dash of pomegranate syrup, fresh lime juice and soda. The Mocha Frappatini is as sweet as a stocking treat. The chocolaty concoction is made of Van Gogh dutch and Godiva chocolate liquors, espresso vodka, half-and-half, and drizzled with rock candy syrup. And, the Sangria Passion is reminiscent of a holiday punch, a dramatic blend of Ciroc Grape Frost vodka, brandy, crème de cassis, fresh sweet n’ sour, and red wine which is then garnished with an orange wheel.

Ferraro’s bar over at the Four Seasons Maui at Wailea doesn’t just serve up tropically influenced cocktails, but festive ones too. The “Super Star” is a true seasonally inspired liquid treat muddling star fruit and fresh blueberries together with St. Germain elder flower liquor and tequila that’s topped with sour mix and garnished with a slice of star fruit. The Pomegranate Exotique blends Belvedere Vodka with fresh pomegranate juice and exotic Hawaiian fruits. The Hawaiian Hemmingway is also an ideal choice for cooler temps combining ginger beer and Hendricks with Prosecco and simple sugar.
